Good to know when you want to attend a course

In 15 years of existence as a language school, I have very rarely encountered people who have entered the door of the center knowing EXACTLY what they need: to study the X language, at that time they appreciated that they had the Y level and wanted to do the course in the Z time.

When you plan to start studying a foreign language or feel the need to deepen the spoken language, you need to consider several factors:

1. NEVER will you ever be able to learn a foreign language in a month. A language is taught for at least one year, after which, if you have no practice (even a passive one, by watching movies or reading articles or books in that language), you forget it …
2. Have some research before you start looking for learning opportunities. Visit the center page that offers the courses, check your university or work schedule, look for feedback from other people who have attended such courses.
3. Do not be discouraged but armed with patience, and especially attend all course sessions. It’s not like a subscription to the hall where, once you’ve done it, you can go 2 or 3 times in a month. Every lecture session is important and an opportunity to learn something new and, most importantly, to apply what you learn.

At the Bridge Language Study House (Dorobantilor no. 67), any of us will be able to help you in your choice. In short you need to know the following:

  1. The courses we offer are either organised in groups or in queens individually or in tandem (2 people at the same level).
  2. All our courses are structured as internationally recognized levels: A1 (beginner), A2 (elementary), B1 (intermediate), B1 + (intermediate), B2 (post-intermediate), C1 (advanced). Approximately 70 or 90 hours of study are required to run each level (depending on the language), so each level will be divided into 2 or 3 modules of 30 hours for our center.
    3. Our group courses are organized as 30-hour modules and last for 6 weeks. Individuals have 30 hours / module and can be organized in one or more weeks, depending on how intensely they want.
    4. If you have any language knowledge (even a passive one), it is important to take a placement test to be assigned to a group for the level you have.
    5. As most of the participants in the course work, class sessions are scheduled from 18:30 to 21:00, 2 days a week.

Otherwise, if you have any questions, we are at your disposal :). From Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 18.00, by phone (0364-101088, 0746355435), by email (info@blsh.ro or cursuri@blsh.ro) or invite you to visit our friendly headquarters on Dorobantilor 67.
